Oakland – The Grand Oaks Sports Bar (GO Bar)

Open since 2009, the GO bar (Grand Oaks initialized) has quickly become a favorite of game enthusiasts all across Oakland. A ubiquity of flat screens cover almost every wall in the place, there’s delicious grub, and of course: beer. Also, the bar’s located in the upscale portion of downtown Oakland’s Old Town District. The interior is comfortable, it’s got that classic vibe, and has been perfectly designed for watching a multitude of games even beyond football. With specialty drinks, bottled drinks, draft beers, and margaritas, GO bar is the perfect place to support the 49ers from.

San Mateo – Route 92 Sports Bar

This bar may look like a “dive bar” from without, but it’s one of the cleanest bars you’ll find in the area. The beer selection is extensive, TVs are nice and modern, bartenders are friendly, and there’s plenty of fun activities to keep you busy while there’s a penalty on the field; things like darts, pool, shuffleboard, and golf. The lights are low, the bar has that classic wood construction, and if you haven’t tried their Bloody Mary, that’s worth the trip alone.

Palo Alto – The Old Pro

And to boot, the food’s downright delicious. Plus they’ve got the right attitude when it comes to beer. On the front page of the website is a quote from Ben Franklin himself that says: “Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy.”  Amen Ben, and Old Pro!
